Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how Wanna Hit (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use our match scheduling service at wanna-hit.com.
1. Information We Collect
When you create an account and use Wanna Hit, we collect:
- Account information — your name, email address, and mobile phone number
- Availability and match preferences — times you’re available to play, skill level, location preferences
- Match history — records of matches you’ve been scheduled for, played, or canceled
- Communication preferences — your opt-in status for SMS notifications
We do not collect payment card information directly. Payments are processed by Stripe; we receive only confirmation that a charge succeeded.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Schedule matches and notify you about upcoming matches
- Send you account-related SMS notifications, including match confirmations, reminders, court assignments, and partner information
- Operate, maintain, and improve the Wanna Hit service
- Respond to your support requests
- Comply with legal obligations
3. SMS Messaging — Mobile Information Sharing
Mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
You will receive SMS notifications from Wanna Hit only after you opt in by checking the SMS consent box during sign-up. Standard message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies based on your match activity.
To stop receiving SMS messages from us, reply STOP to any message. To get help, reply HELP.
4. How We Share Your Information
We share your information only as follows:
- With other Wanna Hit users you’re matched with — your first name and skill level are visible to your match partners; phone numbers are not shared between users
- With service providers — Twilio (for SMS delivery), Stripe (for payments), Neon (for database hosting), Vercel (for hosting), Sentry (for error monitoring). These providers are bound by contract to use your data only to provide services to us.
- For legal reasons — if required by law, subpoena, or to protect rights and safety
We do not sell your personal information.
5. Data Retention
We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal information within 30 days, except as required by law (e.g., transaction records for tax compliance).
6. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate information
- Delete your account and associated data
- Opt out of SMS notifications at any time (reply STOP)
- Export your data
To exercise any of these rights, email us at support@wanna-hit.com.
7. Security
We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. No system is perfectly secure, however, so we encourage you to use a strong password and notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
8. Children’s Privacy
Wanna Hit is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@wanna-hit.com.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or through the Wanna Hit app. The “Last updated” date at the top of this policy reflects the most recent revision.
